This Yonanas machine is made up of only 6 parts, they are easy to assemble and very easy to clean. First of all you you have the bottom cap which attaches to the chute assembly to hold everything together. Second is the gasket which sits into the bottom cap, that seals everything to prevent leaking out of the machine. Third is the blade cone which sits on top of the gasket, this has small stainless steel teeth and can grind all of the frozen fruit into a pulp.
The fourth item is the chute and blade cover, this locks all 4 pieces together ready to attach to the motor, and the chute feeds the frozen fruit onto the blade cone. The fifth item is the base and motor, the whole chute assembly of parts 1-4 lock onto the base by twisting it counter clockwise and locking it in place. Last piece no 6 is the plunger which presses the food down through the chute and onto the blade cone. As easy as this is to assemble it is as easy to disassemble when you are ready to clean the machine.
The joy of this Yonanas machine is that you don’t need any special ingredients that need to be sourced, the main ingredients are frozen pieces of fruit and any add ins that you want to put in. A lot of the recipes are based around bananas so it is helpful if you like them, but you don’t have to use them if you don’t, you can easily make a mixed fruit sorbet with fruit pieces of your choice and enjoy it just as much. The benefit of using bananas is the fact that they can give a creamy consistency much like soft-serve ice cream, you can add different fruits to give different tastes but there is going to be an underlying taste of bananas.
To make a banana dessert you first need to select and freeze your bananas. The bananas need to be cheetah spotted, that means you want them to be turning brown but only spotted, not fully brown, the more spots the sweeter the banana. Cut them at least into 2 before you freeze which makes them easier to handle when putting through the chute. Once you take out of the freezer leave out for 10 mins to allow them to defrost a little.
You can make a simple banana, peanut butter and chocolate chip dessert by literally putting your bananas through the machine, 2 bananas per person, in between the banana pieces add the chocolate chips into the machine it will grind them into the banana. When you have all the banana through stir into the mix a tablespoon of peanut butter and serve.
If you have a mix of fruit it won’t be hard to make everyones favourite as you can do a portion at a time with different mixes. You can try bananas and strawberries, always a favourite, this also goes great with a little dark chocolate, or just make yonanas recipes without bananas, a fruit sorbet using mango and raspberries, or try watermelon and mixed berries. Once you have finished you can take of the chute and scrape out the mixture which is caught up inside before putting your parts to wash by hand or in the top drawer of the dishwasher.
If you’re looking for different recipes why not invest in a book like this one which you can buy with your Yonanas machine – My Yonanas Frozen Treat Maker Recipe Book.
Customers are loving this machine, it is so easy to make a single serving for a healthy dessert when they are being careful about what they eat. Buyers find that they use any fruit that they buy which is starting to get a little ripe in the freezer and add it to their Yonanas dessert so they don’t waste it. Your choice of flavours are endless and the clean up is relatively easy.
The negatives found are some customers had problems with parts breaking, some didn’t like the constant taste of bananas, some people found it too time consuming and messy.
A lot of people buy this dessert maker so they can make a dessert without any added sugar, there are obviously naturally occurring sugars in the fruit but if you don’t add anything else but fruit you can keep your calories down and still enjoy, and if other members of your family want something nice added they can do that as well in their own portion or even stirring in afterwards.
There is a Yonanas Elite machine if you don’t mind paying more for a stronger motor, but the yonanas classic vs elite gives you basically the same result for less money. Why not give this Yonanas Frozen Healthy Dessert Maker a try and get all your family involved in making their own favourites.
